Who Says There are No Good Lovecraft Games?

A few months back, my friend Jenn mentioned in passing that there was a Japan-only, virtualboy videogame based on a shitty, movie adaptation of Lovecraft’s “The Shadow Over Insmouth”. I immediately called bullshit on her, since things that awesome just don’t exist, ever.

Then I googled it.

Turns out she was totally not making it up. It’s called “Insmouse no Yakata” (Insmouth Mansion) and was a first person shooter.

There really is very little I can say  other than the fact that I should never doubt my friend, and that has to be the most horrifying survival horror experience ever. True steroscopic, red-on-black fishman horror, just the way Lovecraft meant it to be!
